We can offer bed and breakfast for our wood carving students and self catering  accommodation at certain times of the year. Both these facilities are also available for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing break whether or not they are on a woodcarving course.

The area around Holsworthy offers plenty of interesting activities such as coarse, trout and fly fishing, archery, bird watching, coastal walking and rambling, outdoor activities with pursuits including surfing, rock climbing and horse riding, and for cyclists, the Tarka cycle trail is easily accessible for safe off-road family cycling. Instruction in watersports can be obtained on both  Tamar and Roadford Lakes.

The Farmhouse

Bed and Breakfast   For our woodcarving students we can usually arrange bed and breakfast accommodation in the Farmhouse or close by. Other members of the family and well behaved pets are also welcome to stay at the same time. A nearby pub serves evening meals and there are several eating places to be found in Holsworthy, ranging from top quality restaurants and pubs to takeaways.

In addition, we can usually provide Bed and DIY Breakfast - we supply the items for your breakfast, you rise at your leisure, have your breakfast then enjoy the rest of the day, be it wood carving or sightseeing in the area.

Part of our bed and breakfast accommodation

Our accommodation is ideal for woodcarving students as it is a short walk across the farmyard to the studio, and for a non carving partner or leisure time after classes there is plenty to see and do in the area.

Puddleduck Farmhouse   (above)  more details ...  is ideally suited for a combination activity holiday for two persons and pets, and you are most welcome whether or not you are enrolled on a woodcarving course. The Farmhouse is available at certain times of the year for self-catering and can be booked directly through us. We can usually arrange time in the studio for those who wish to sample a few days woodcarving whilst others can enjoy the delights of the area and all it has to offer.
