Did that cream cake at teatime really make a difference? After her bath the Weight watcher stands on her bathroom scales and peers down to see the result. Modesty means the towel has to be clutched tightly and cannot be discarded, but mules laid to the side might help to lessen the verdict a little.

The Weight watcher was carved from a log of Yew wood and finished with wax polish. Her hair is carved in the lighter coloured sapwood and contrasts in colour with the rest of the carving.

Generously endowed ladies have to lean well forwards to see what the dial reads.

The surface of the bathroom scales was textured using a small punch and her mules are relieved from the surface of the base. The "faux fur" edgings to her mules are  shown by making short cuts using a small V tool.

To contrast with the smooth polished surface of the figure the bath towel was carved using the lighter coloured sapwood then textured to show the towelling material by using a punch.
